Your Red Car is backed, built and administered by Santander. All the dealers on Your Red Car are approved by the team at Santander Consumer Finance for fair trading and business standards as part of our mission to provide customers and sellers with a fair platform to buy and sell cars.
How are dealers chosen and approved?
As a leading player in the automotive finance sector, Santander has a close working relationship with all of the 2,500+ dealers who advertise on Your Red Car. We know and trust these businesses to give customers fair and professional service.
How do I search?
We have thousands of cars to choose from and you can search by the things that mean most to you. This includes: how far away the dealer is; which makes, models and features you prefer; or your overall or monthly budget.
Can I get finance through Santander Consumer UK?
Yes. Once you’ve chosen a car you can build your own deal using our finance calculator, and then either apply online (where available) or contact the seller and they can talk you through the financing options and help you choose the right one for you. But you don’t have to use Santander Consumer Finance to buy a car through Your Red Car.
If I search by finance amount, what finance products are available?
The monthly payment search filter is fully customisable to suit your personal finance needs. We offer searches based on both Purchase Plans and Purchase Contract Plans. To find out more about your purchase options please contact the seller.
Why should I contact the dealer through Your Red Car?
Apart from being the easiest way to register your interest in a car, it’s also necessary if you want to claim your £75 eGift card once you’ve taken delivery of it.
Should I be concerned about sharing my contact details?
No. All personal data is processed and managed according to the ICO data protection guidelines. The contact details are required so that we or the dealer can get back in touch with you about your enquiry.
How do I make a reward claim?
Once you’ve taken delivery of your car, go to www.yourredcar.co.uk/login, and register with your name and email address. You can then log in, select the car you bought from your dashboard and update the status menu on the left hand side. After we’ve checked your claim with the seller, we’ll send you your eGift card within 14 working days.
Can I make a reward claim before the car is delivered?
Unfortunately not. You can’t start the claims process until you have taken delivery of your car.
How long does the reward claim process take?
Once you’ve confirmed your purchase, we’ll check your claim with the seller before sending out your eGift card. This takes around 14 days.
What happens if my reward claim is declined?
If your claim is declined and you want to talk to someone about it, please feel free to contact the Your Red Car operations team at customersupport@yourredcar.co.uk
Can I still claim a reward if I contact the dealer about one car but end up buying a different one from the same dealer?
Yes, you’re still eligible to claim your reward.
Where can I use the eGift card?
The £75 eGift reward can be redeemed at 60 different retailers.
