Together we can drive a positive change
go green with Your Red Car
There’s no getting away from the fact that one of the biggest challenges facing us today, and tomorrow, is global warming.
And it’s a fact that one of the major contributors to things hotting up is the carbon dioxide emissions from the cars we drive every day – the average car in the UK generates 2 tonnes of CO2 every 10,000 miles.
Thankfully, now we can do something to take that weight off our minds and limit the impact we have on global warming by measuring, reducing, and offsetting our carbon footprint and changing our driving habits.
Santander Consumer Finance has partnered with iOffset as part of our go green initiative to help you offset your car’s carbon emissions, because we believe driving doesn’t have to cost the earth.

How to calculate and offset your car’s carbon footprint
To work out your car’s emissions, simply enter your car’s registration and average mileage into our unique go green carbon calculator.
Then your monthly or one-off contribution will be used to fund accredited United Nations, Gold Standard or Verra projects that can make a real difference to the planet. The projects iOffset support focus on carbon capture via re-forestation, afforestation in addition to tree planting in the UK.
So now wherever you’re going, you can go green and compensate for your car’s emissions and play a small part in creating a brighter future we can look forward to.

How to reduce your carbon footprint
You could use your car one day less a week or not use it for short journeys, maybe you can use public transport instead.
And when you do drive, try to avoid accelerating and braking suddenly as this increases the engine’s CO2 emissions.
